This policy explains what information Pooch Purrfect Pet Spa LLC ("we" or "us") collects through this website and when you book with us, how we use it, and the choices you have. We're a small local business. We collect only what we need to take care of your pet and run our appointments.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you call, text, fill out our new client form, or book an appointment by phone, by text, or online, you may give us:

Your name, phone number, email address, and home address
Your pet's name, breed, age, weight, health and vaccination records, behavior notes, and grooming history
Emergency contact and veterinarian information
The service, day, and time you ask for, and any notes you add for the groomer
Payment information, which is handled by our payment provider

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically receives basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages visited, and the referring site. This is used to deliver the site, keep it secure, and understand overall traffic.

This website does not use advertising cookies or tracking pixels. We don't set cookies for visitors. Third-party services linked from or embedded on this site may set their own cookies, as described below.

To schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments, however you booked them
To groom your pet safely, based on the health and behavior details you share
To contact you during an appointment, including in an emergency
To take payment
To answer your questions
To keep our website working and secure
To meet legal requirements, such as keeping vaccination records

Online booking

Online booking for existing clients isn't open yet. This section describes how it handles your information once it opens.

The booking page is run by MoeGo, the scheduling system we use for client records. It appears on our site inside a frame. What you type into it goes straight to MoeGo and into our client records there. It doesn't pass through this website, and this website doesn't keep a copy.

The booking page may ask for:

Your phone number, which is how it finds your client record
Your name, email address, and home address
Your pet's details, such as breed, weight, and vaccination records
The service, day, and time you want, and any notes for the groomer
Your signature on our service agreement, if we don't have a current one on file
A credit or debit card, if your appointment needs a card on file, a deposit, or prepayment

Card details are entered on MoeGo's page and handled by its payment processor. We don't see or store your full card number. Our payment policy says when a card on file may be required and what it can be charged for.

The booking page may set cookies of its own, for example to keep you signed in while you book. Those cookies belong to MoeGo, and MoeGo's privacy policy covers them.

We use what you enter to schedule and confirm your appointment, get ready for your pet, and reach you about the visit. You never have to book online. Call or text us and we'll book you ourselves.

Calls and text messages

If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your appointments, such as confirmations, reminders, and pickup notices. Our scheduling system may send automated appointment texts. If you book online, you may get a text or email when your request comes in and another when we confirm it. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP to automated messages to opt out, or tell us you'd prefer we call instead. We don't send marketing texts without your permission.

We do not sell your personal information, and we don't share it for targeted advertising. We share information only with:

Service providers that help us run the business, including MoeGo (client records, forms, online booking, and appointment messages), our payment processor, and Cloudflare (website hosting and security). They may use your information only to provide services to us.
Your veterinarian or an emergency vet, if your pet needs care while with us.
Legal authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect the safety of people or animals.

Third-party services

Our site links to and embeds services run by other companies. When you use them, their privacy policies apply:

We aren't responsible for how those companies handle your information.

Job applications

If you apply for a job on our careers page, we collect what you put in the application: your name, phone number, email, the city you live in, your answers about your grooming experience and schedule, and your resume if you upload one.

We use it only to consider you for the job and to contact you about it. Only the people at Pooch Purrfect who take part in hiring can see it. Applications and resumes are stored with Cloudflare, our website host. We don't sell this information or share it with anyone else.

We keep applications while the position is open and for a reasonable time afterward, in case another position opens. You can ask us to delete yours at any time by calling or texting us.

How long we keep information

We keep client and pet records for as long as you're a client and for a reasonable time after, so we have your pet's history if you come back and to meet record-keeping requirements. You can ask us to delete your records at any time, unless we need to keep them for legal reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct, or delete the personal information we have about you. You can also opt out of appointment texts at any time. To make a request, call or text us. We'll respond within a reasonable time and may need to confirm your identity first.

Virginia residents may have additional rights under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act where it applies. We honor these requests whether or not the law requires it of a business our size.

Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, and we rely on established providers for client records, payments, and hosting. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

This website is meant for adults. We don't knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Pet owners booking with us should be 18 or older.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If we make a significant change, we'll post it here.
