New clients
We're taking new clients with pets under 70 lbs. Here's how to get started and what we'll ask you to bring.
Three steps to your first visit
Fill out the new client form
It covers your contact info, your pet's history, and our service agreement. You'll upload your pet's vaccine records there too. Open the form
Call or text to book
Reach us at 571-334-5954 and we'll set up your first appointment.
Grooming day
At drop-off, tell us about anything that's changed since you filled out the form. We'll let you know when your pet is ready. Please pick up within an hour of that message.
Before your first appointment
- Your pet is under 70 lbs
- Your pet's rabies vaccination is current
- New client form is filled out, with vaccine records uploaded
- Your pet has had a chance to go potty before drop-off
Tell us about
Anxiety, past bad grooming experiences, bite history, health problems, skin issues, recent surgery, or anything else you think we should know. It's never too much information. It helps us plan the groom around your pet.
Getting ready for the day
- Take your dog for a walk before drop-off
- Bring a photo if you have a look in mind
- Brush out what you can at home, especially behind the ears and under the legs
- Keep goodbyes short and cheerful. Most pets settle faster that way.
Questions people ask before they book
Don't see yours? Call or text 571-334-5954.
Do you groom my breed?
Yes. We groom every breed of dog, and cats too. The breeds named on our price lists are examples to help you find the right list. Right now we're taking new clients with pets under 70 lbs.
My pet is nervous. Can you still groom them?
Usually, yes. Tell us when you book so we can plan extra time. We go slowly, take breaks, and stop if continuing wouldn't be safe for your pet. If that happens we'll call you and talk about next steps.
Do you groom cats?
Yes. Please call before booking a cat's first visit so we can schedule the right amount of time.
My dog is over 70 lbs. Can you take them?
Right now we're only taking new clients under 70 lbs. If you're an existing client with a bigger dog, nothing changes for you.
When can my puppy have a first groom?
Once your puppy has had their vaccines, including rabies when they're old enough. Tell us it's their first time. Getting used to the bath, the dryer, and nail trims early makes grooming easier for the rest of their life.
How long does a groom take?
It depends on your pet's size, coat, and comfort level. We'll give you a pickup estimate when you drop off and let you know when they're ready.
How often should my pet be groomed?
Most dogs with coats that keep growing do well every 4 to 8 weeks. Short-coated breeds can go longer between baths. We'll suggest a schedule after the first visit.
How do I book?
Call or text us at 571-334-5954. If you're new, fill out the new client form first. We plan to add online booking in 2027.
What if I need to cancel?
Give us at least 24 hours' notice. Cancelling later than that, or missing the appointment, may mean a fee. Our cancellation policy has the details.
Ready to book?
Call or text us and we'll find a time that works.
